But sometimes I blow it and do dumb things. Learn from me and don’t make the same mistake.
I wrote my first book in 2012. After 10 years of leading an innovative small group Bible study for men, I wrote a how-to manual for others to follow what I had done.
As an independent author, I opted NOT to publish the book on the biggest online book platform in the world (guess what that was?).
What was I thinking?
As it turns out, 2012 was the “golden era” for independent book publishers. Because ebook publishing was all new, writing careers were made in those days just by showing up.
And I missed it.
I put my book on a more “independent platform” and then forgot about it for 5 years. The golden era came and went and left me behind.
I wasted time. I set the wrong goal. I picked the lesser tool.
Please don’t make the same mistake. I’m begging you.
Time is precious. Don’t waste it. You can never get it back.
I don’t know where you are on your spiritual journey. Where you need to grow. What’s in your way or holding you back.
I’m just asking you to do something.
If you haven’t the book that you’ve already bought, then get it out and read it. Answer the questions. Let it dig deep into your life and get a hold of your heart.
My heart is for your growth. I try to write in a way to lead forward, onward, toward the goal of spiritual maturity.
- If you need to dive into worship, look at Jesus Above All.
- If you need a devotional to get into your Bible regularly try Faith & Miracles or Men in the Bible
- If you really want to dig in and go hard after what God is saying, consider Study the Bible: Six Easy Steps (the e-book is on sale for the next few days)
If none of my books are what you need, find another book. Or a small group. Or a class at your church.
Just don’t sit there and do nothing like I did. Don’t waste the opportunity you’ve been given.
This could be your golden age. It could be the time of phenomenal growth and love and grace.
You’ll only know if you lean in and take the next step.
Expectantly,
Dennis
PS. If you downloaded my angel short story, thanks! A whole bunch of people did.
I’m looking for feedback, so even if you didn’t like it, I want to know. Just hit reply and share your thoughts.
If you missed the opportunity, you can still get the story about an angel who dreams of bigger and better assignments here on earth. I especially love the scene at the end. I won’t spoil it for you, but you’ll know exactly which one I’m talking about when you read it.
Thanks,
D
