In the United States, it’s Thanksgiving today – a holiday of gastronomical proportions. I imagine that people all round the world look on and shake their heads.
I’ll be smoking a turkey for a good part of the day today, leading up to an early afternoon meal with family. That’s what’s really special to me. I am thankful for the people in my life.
Thanksgiving isn’t an American phenomenon. As Christians, we are commanded to be a thankful people. We have more to be thankful than anyone else – the gospel is the greatest gift of all time and we’re undeserving recipients.
