Tomorrow is the day. 28 people from my church are going to show up for a class I’m teaching called “Unceasing Prayer.”

Nobody in the class knows this, but I’ve been wrestling with this teaching program for over 2 years! It’s been a much longer journey than most would expect to get to this point.

Of course, I lead the Prayer Team at my church. So everyone things I’m a natural at this.  The truth is far from it. I struggle with prayer with the best of them. It’s not my spiritual gift as some would assume.

So why would I teach a class like this?

Because prayer matters to God, and His word is pretty informative about prayer.

Not in a crushing guilt kind of way. But surprisingly, in a helpful informative way.

It’s six weeks and the lessons are called:

  • Prayer Basics: The Lord’s Prayer and the ACTS model
  • Praying Scripture: How the word of God shapes our prayer
  • Prayer as Worship: How to use prayer to recognize who God is
  • Prayer as Confession: Recognizing who we are before God
  • Prayer as Supplication: Asking God to move
  • Prayer as Celebration: Reflecting God’s work back to Him

I am planning to take this material and use it to write a practical, helpful book about prayer. I’d love to know if you’d be interested in a book like this. And if so, what is the most important question about prayer that I could answer for you?

Please reply to this email and let me know what would be most helpful to you.

Thanks,

Dennis
