Reading Order
The series Understanding God’s Word is designed to help Christians step into God’s Word and discover the truth and wisdom that gives life. While the books may be read in different orders, this is the recommended order for maximum learning and benefit:
- Getting To Know God’s Word – An overview of the entire Bible, providing context and history so that the reader will better understand each section.
- Study The Bible – Six Easy Steps – An introduction to the inductive Bible study method, with special application to the Epistles in the New Testament.
- Study The Bible – Old Testament – An expansion of the Six Easy Steps Bible Study Method to apply to the history books of the Old Testament
As time progresses, new books are being considered, but have not yet been written:
- Study the Bible – The Gospels – An expansion of the Six Easy Steps Bible Study Method to apply to the 4 gospels in the New Testament
- Study the Bible – The Hebrew Epistles – A variation of the Six Easy Steps Study Method to address the unique aspects of the Hebrew Epistles (Hebrews, James, 1 & 2 Peter)
Included Bible Study
Study The Bible – Six Easy Steps includes a free Bible Study of the New Testament epistle of Titus. This short book, only 3 chapters, was written by the Apostle Paul to his ministry partner and fellow pastor Titus. It is rich with truth for believers today.
The study walks the student through the entire Six Easy Steps Study Method over the course of six weekly study sessions. Each session is conducted through a series of emails which contain study resources, assigned activities and conclude with the author’s personal study notes for comparison. The goal is not to duplicate the author’s study, but to gain insight for now an experienced Bible student undertakes different aspects of the study.
The six weekly sessions address:
- Session One: Getting Ready – organizing yourself for the study and setting up the tools you will use.
- Session Two: Introduction to Titus – reviewing the whole book of Titus and gaining context about what it says.
- Session Three: Titus Chapter 1 – An in-depth study of the first Chapter of Titus.
- Session Four: Titus Chapter 2 – An in-depth study of the second Chapter of Titus.
- Session Five: Titus Chapter 3 – An in-depth study of the final Chapter of Titus.
- Session Six: Wrap Up – A review and summary of the study of Titus.
It is not recommended to sign up for the study until you have read the book. Once started, the study cannot be paused.
